The garden path behind him is empty — nobody else came. Panel 2: The warm living room. LIZZIE BENNET asks from an armchair with a mug in one hand while BINGLEY sits forward on the sofa opposite, relaxed and cheerful. LIZZIE: 'Is your friend not with you?'
