1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Inkroost ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Inkroost is a web application provided by Inkroost. The specific features and functionality are described on our website.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Scrape, crawl, or data-mine the Service without permission
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Publish explicit pornographic content, or any content prohibited by the Content Policy

All content published on Inkroost must comply with our Content Policy, which forms part of these Terms. The Content Policy sets out what is allowed, what requires a mature rating, and what is never permitted. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach it.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

If the Service includes paid features:

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually).
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for refund requests.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

Inkroost Credits

• Inkroost Credits are prepaid platform credits for creator tools only — such as AI page and cover generation and other Inkroost services.
• Credits are not money, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred to another user or withdrawn or redeemed for cash.
• Credits are not used to purchase manga and are not paid to creators. Reading on Inkroost does not require credits.
• Some chapters may be supporter-only. Supporter access is provided through the creator's own third-party platform (for example, Patreon). Any subscription or payment for supporter access is between you and that third-party provider — not Inkroost — and access may depend on your status with that provider.
• Inkroost does not operate a marketplace for manga and does not pay creators a share of credit purchases.

6. Intellectual Property

• The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Inkroost.
• You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Service.
• By uploading content, you grant us a license to store, display, and process it as needed to provide the Service.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

8. Availability & Warranties

• We aim to provide the Service 24/7, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or meet your specific requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inkroost shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
• We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the application. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
