How it works

Four steps, and you see everything before you spend anything.

  1. 1

    Set up your series once

Pick the look and the language, and choose a voice for each character after hearing samples.

  2. 2

Pick a chapter and a length

Choose the pages and how long the episode should be, from 30 seconds up to the whole chapter. An estimate appears straight away.

  3. 3

    Preview the plan

We plan every shot, draw colour sheets of your cast and voice every line. You see the cast, hear the voices and get an exact price.

  4. 4

    Approve and watch

It animates while you get on with your day. We tell you when it is ready to watch, download and publish.

What makes a great episode

An honest note: an episode can only be as good as its chapter.

  • Clear pages

Panels that show who is where and what happens give the director the most to work with.

  • Consistent characters

A character who looks the same from page to page stays recognisable in every shot.

  • Readable dialogue

Lines that can be read cleanly are the lines that get spoken, by the right character.

Painterly and watercolour looks move less than comic and anime looks. The Starlight Tailor above shows what that gentler motion looks like.

Questions people ask

How long can an episode be?

From 30 seconds up to the whole chapter; we suggest the length it reads at naturally. A long episode takes a few hours to make, and the longer it is, the more scenes may come out differently from your pages.

Can I post it on TikTok, Reels or YouTube Shorts?

Yes. Every episode can also be cut to 9:16, framed shot by shot around whoever is speaking, ready for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. The vertical cut is on us. Publishing straight to your YouTube channel is coming soon.

Which languages can an episode be in?

You pick the language once for the series. An episode can be spoken and subtitled in 16 languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Spanish, French and German.

How do the voices work?

Every character gets an AI voice that you choose after hearing samples, and keeps it in every episode of the series.

Can I download my episode?

Yes. Watch it on Inkroost, download the video file, or publish it with your series.

Who owns the episode?

You do. Your series stays yours, and so does every episode made from it.

What if something looks off?

You see the plan, the cast sheets and the voices before anything animates, and you can stop there. If something still looks wrong in the finished episode, tell us through Report an issue and we will look at it.
