Rain starts during the dead shift and the store has exactly one cheap clear umbrella left. Across the night, four increasingly desperate customers try to claim it, each attempt ending on the identical dead-eyed beat panel of Kaito holding the umbrella just out of reach. At dawn the rain stops, Kaito finally relaxes, and Rin reveals she quietly sold the umbrella online for a markup.
