Page 2. A low-angle panel looking up at Momo for maximum tiny drama. Her huge amber eyes blaze with conviction; she holds her magnifying glass upright in one hand and flings the other tiny arm out to point at the wall, her coat flaring behind her like a cape, chin lifted — the theory already fully formed. MOMO: 'It has horns. A beast is loose.'

Low-angle close view of the chibi girl in the oversized mustard-yellow coat and red scarf, holding her magnifying glass in one hand and flinging the other arm out to point at the wall, coat flaring like a cape, scowling with conviction. The white cat watches from the window ledge behind her.
About this chapter
A huge horned shadow looms across the clubroom wall in the low afternoon sun, and Momo is certain a beast has broken into the Tiny Case Agency. She stalks the monster as it grows larger and larger, corners it, and pounces at the wall — only to find it bare. The "intruder" was Biscuit the whole time, sitting up in the sunbeam on the boxes with her ears throwing the horns. Ganta says so on page five. Momo declares she drove the beast off, closes the case, and falls asleep.
