Transcript

Page 12. A single panel, looking down into the open cardboard box. Momo leans over the rim, both sleeve-swallowed hands on the cardboard, her huge amber eyes going flat as the theory collapses. Below her the magnifying glass lies lens-up on the cardboard, right beside Biscuit's face, and through the lens one of the cat's round dark eyes is hugely magnified, filling the entire circle of the glass and staring calmly straight up at the detective. MOMO: '...Oh.'

Image description

A chibi girl leans over the rim of a cardboard box, her face deflating. Inside, her magnifying glass lies lens-up beside a very round white cat, so one enormous magnified cat eye fills the whole circle of the lens and stares straight up at her.

About this chapter

Momo's magnifying glass has vanished, which means the Tiny Case Agency's greatest detective must work without her greatest tool — so she investigates the windowsill, a suspicious condensation ring and eventually the room itself through a circle made of her own fist. Ganta tells her exactly where it is on page five. She runs straight past him, dismantles the clubroom, and only finds the truth when a very round white cat shifts in her sleep.
