Page 11. Two stacked panels, read top to bottom. Top panel: Momo and Ganta together haul the small white mini-fridge forward from the wall, tiny heels dug in, Ganta still holding his juice box in his free hand. Bottom panel: the gap behind the fridge. A surprisingly large heap of coloured pencils lies on the dusty floorboards, along with a bottle cap and a hair tie. A cat's private treasury. Ganta's hooded head is in the corner of frame. GANTA: "That's all of them."

About this chapter
The pencil mug on the clubroom desk keeps getting lighter. Momo mounts a stakeout, loses a fight with her own eyelids, and wakes just in time to catch the thief mid-crime. This time the prime suspect is actually guilty — and there is a hoard behind the fridge to prove it.
