How to create comics from Claude with the Inkroost connector
Connect an AI assistant to Inkroost over MCP and it can build series, generate pages, and publish chapters — the same operations as the web app.
What it is. Inkroost runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at https://inkroost.com/mcp. An AI assistant connected to it can create a series, set style profiles, build character sheets, create chapters, generate and approve pages, write the text layer, and publish — the same operations available in the web app.
Why it matters. If your creative partner is already an AI assistant, the comic should not require leaving the conversation. You direct the story; the assistant drives Inkroost.
How to do it.
- From Claude.ai: add Inkroost as a custom connector — it connects over OAuth, and you approve the access in your browser.
- From Claude Code, Cursor or Windsurf: create a bearer token at settings/api-tokens and add the MCP server with it.
- Scope the token to what the agent needs. Abilities are granular — read story data, write story data, generate art, publish, read credits, purchase credits — so an agent that only drafts never spends.
- Then just ask: "create a four-page noir webtoon about a courier who steals the wrong package." A well-behaved assistant will create the series, write the style profile, sheet the characters, generate page by page, and ask you before anything is published or credits are spent.
