Browse and the homepage now show far more of what creators publish
A background check looks at each cover and lists every one that is fine for a public shelf, so mature-rated series with ordinary covers appear on Browse, the homepage shows more creators, and arriving from Browse takes you straight into the chapter.
What shipped. Browse used to show a logged-out visitor only the series whose creator had rated them all-ages or teen. Everything rated mature was hidden from the grid, from the homepage and from search engines — however ordinary its cover. Now a background check looks at each cover as a series goes public and asks one question: is this fine to put on a shelf anyone can walk past? If it is, the series is listed, with the 18+ tag it already carried on the homepage so nobody is surprised by the age confirmation behind it. If the cover itself is explicit, it stays off the shelf exactly as before.
Straight into the story. When you open a series from Browse, you are not stopped after the first page and asked to register. The cover was judged fit for the shelf, so the shelf leads straight into the work. Chapters that are supporter-only, and the age confirmation on mature series, are unchanged.
A wider homepage. Fresh from the Roost now shows twelve of the newest series, one per creator, to everyone — not only to signed-in readers. It draws from the same newly visible pool, so you see the breadth of who is publishing here, in more languages than before.
Found by search engines. Series the check has cleared are indexable again, together with their free chapters, and a series with translated editions tells search engines which language each edition is in. Original multilingual work on Inkroost can now be discovered by the people searching for it.
What has not changed. Nothing here lowers the bar for genuinely problematic content: a cover only reaches the shelf when the check finds nothing explicit on it, and the content rating a creator chose is never altered by this check.
