Transcript
A crowd gathers in a village square between the Ashcombe Tea Room and Ashcombe General Store. The Duchess stands on a wooden crate and gestures as she speaks; a girl in denim overalls stands beside her, and a purple-haired woman in a flowered hat watches with folded arms. A red-haired woman with a braid and other villagers face the Duchess. The Duchess: “I’m sure you all heard about the great insult that lovely Ashcombe has endured. As your Duchess, you should know I will not take this lying down!” Villager: “What is she talking about?” Villager: “No idea.” A sign reads “The Next Day.” Another sign reads “ASHCOMBE SQUARE.”
