A wiry man in a tracksuit and sweatband stands just inside the glass door, out of breath, pointing toward the hot dog grill and shouting, “Buy two get one free!” Kaito looks up from behind the counter, startled and tired. In the current page order this reads like a late flashback to the incident’s inciting entrance, filling in how the customer first arrived before the chapter closes.

3:02 AM. A man rushes in demanding only the free hot dog from a buy-2-get-1-free promo, refusing to buy the two. The register can't process it, so he decides to wait out the clock until the promo resets at 4 AM. Rin films the whole thing. The promo simply ends, devastating him — and Kaito hands him one anyway. A tight, dumb, warm one-shot.
