Page 7. A silent still-life panel, the beat repeated and escalated. The single horned cat-shaped shadow is bigger now, stretching further across the wall and up onto the ceiling, lit by the warm sunbeam full of dust motes. Still nobody looks at the small cat in plain sight. No dialogue.

A silent view of the pastel clubroom wall with the horned cat-shaped shadow now bigger, stretching across the wall and up onto the ceiling, dust motes in the sunbeam. No characters, no text.
About this chapter
A huge horned shadow looms across the clubroom wall in the low afternoon sun, and Momo is certain a beast has broken into the Tiny Case Agency. She stalks the monster as it grows larger and larger, corners it, and pounces at the wall — only to find it bare. The "intruder" was Biscuit the whole time, sitting up in the sunbeam on the boxes with her ears throwing the horns. Ganta says so on page five. Momo declares she drove the beast off, closes the case, and falls asleep.
