Page 13. A single wide panel — the same angle and framing as page 1, closing the loop. Momo stands at the low desk holding up the refilled mug of coloured pencils in both hands, eyes shining, cowlick triumphant, thoroughly pleased with herself. Behind her back, at the far edge of the desk, Biscuit has already reached up and knocked a single pencil off the other side. It is falling. Ganta sits on the cardboard boxes, sipping his juice box, watching it go. GANTA: "She's doing it again."

Wide view of the clubroom matching the opening page: a chibi girl proudly holds up the refilled mug of coloured pencils, while behind her back a small white cat bats a pencil off the far edge of the desk and a chibi boy on the boxes watches it fall.
About this chapter
The pencil mug on the clubroom desk keeps getting lighter. Momo mounts a stakeout, loses a fight with her own eyelids, and wakes just in time to catch the thief mid-crime. This time the prime suspect is actually guilty — and there is a hoard behind the fridge to prove it.
