Lyria, a blond woman in a white jacket, carries a small blue sphere while Marc, a brown-haired man with glasses in a white lab coat, follows her through a dim passage lined with pipes and metal grates. Marc raises a hand. Marc: “The city has a lot of eyes.” Lyria and Marc pause in shadow, then move bent low through the passage. Lyria: “Then stop giving them something to look at.”

About this chapter
With a Sentinel identifying them inside Lyria's locked apartment, Marc and Lyria disable it with the EMP and escape through a maintenance route. They infiltrate the robot impound to reach Marc's seized Superposition Motorcycle, only to find an inspection arm about to disturb its stabilizer as officer bots close in.
