Kaito: Just take it. Elderly Woman: Every time.
Descripción de la imagen
In two panels, Kaito, a store clerk, reluctantly offers a clear umbrella to a small elderly woman, who then grins slyly as she takes it and walks away, leaving Kaito looking dismayed.
Acerca de este capítulo
Rain starts during the dead shift and the store has exactly one cheap clear umbrella left. Across the night, four increasingly desperate customers try to claim it, each attempt ending on the identical dead-eyed beat panel of Kaito holding the umbrella just out of reach. At dawn the rain stops, Kaito finally relaxes, and Rin reveals she quietly sold the umbrella online for a markup.
