How to publish a chapter readers can find
Submit for review, choose free or supporter-only access, and let every public page earn its own canonical URL in the sitemap.
What it is. Publishing takes a chapter from your studio to the public catalogue. Every chapter is submitted for review and must be approved before it becomes publicly readable.
Why it matters. Review keeps the catalogue worth browsing, and the publishing pipeline is also your distribution: published, approved chapters of published series appear in browse, in search results, and in the sitemap — each public page with its own canonical URL.
How to do it.
- Finish the chapter: pages approved, in reading order, each with alt text and a transcript. The text layer is not busywork — it is what search engines and AI assistants can actually read.
- Choose the chapter's access mode. Free chapters are readable by anyone. Supporter-only chapters unlock for readers who support you on your connected platform — currently Patreon — which Inkroost verifies; readers never pay Inkroost for chapters.
- Submit for review from the chapter editor.
- Once approved, publish. Your series page updates, followers see the new chapter, and public pages join the sitemap automatically. Drafts, unapproved chapters and supporter-only chapters are never listed.
You own the work you publish — Inkroost hosts it, and the terms grant nothing beyond that hosting.
