On Harvest Fair morning Pip wakes to find the whole raincloud flock has broken through the hilltop fence and drifted toward the valley. With Grumble grudgingly in tow, Pip races downhill to herd them back before the first raindrop hits the prize pumpkins.

Page 1

Pip stands on a grassy hill above Puddlebrook Valley, with a fairground and striped tent in the distance. Grumble floats nearby. Caption: High above Puddlebrook Valley, the rainclouds graze where they belong. Pip: Rise and shine, fluffballs! Head count time! Pip holds up three fingers beside the fence. Pip: One, two, three... why is it so quiet? Grumble: Rumble. Open your eyes, kid. Pip stares at a broken fence and an empty pen. Pip: THE WHOLE FLOCK IS GONE?! Pip runs downhill toward a flock of smiling clouds drifting above the fairground. Caption: Harvest Fair starts at noon. Nobody wants a soggy pumpkin. Pip: This is going to be a long day.
