Rin: Day two.
Image description
Rin, a young woman with a bob haircut and a store apron, stands behind a counter in a convenience store, holding a phone and looking at a cardboard box overflowing with miscellaneous items, while a speech bubble in the upper left corner reads, "Day two."
About this chapter
During the dead-of-night shift Kaito finds a cardboard lost-and-found box under the counter that hasn't been emptied in three years. As he excavates increasingly cursed objects from it, a single customer keeps returning to add more, and Kaito slowly spirals into the realization that the box only grows and never empties. By the end, Rin is alone behind the counter, filming the empty stool where Kaito used to sit. He's in the box now.
