文字记录

Scene: Near the emotional low point, Kaito leans at the register and stares at the coin as if it has taken his identity hostage. Visible bubble text, in reading order: Kaito: "Who even am I." Story function: Lowest beat. The joke turns briefly existential before the payoff arrives.

图片说明

Kaito slumps at the register with the coin balanced on his hand, hollow-eyed and defeated by his own ridiculous standards.

关于本章

A customer overpays by one yen and leaves before Kaito can return it. Unable to let the imbalance go, Kaito spirals across the whole shift trying to resolve a single yen coin, while Rin documents his descent like a true-crime narrator. When the customer returns at dawn for something that actually matters, Kaito must choose between being correct and being kind.
