대본
Kaito jabs the register's cancel button over and over; the paper keeps feeding. Kaito: "Cancel. Cancel. Void transaction." The printer defiantly spits out more blank paper. He tries to tape the paper's end to the counter. Kaito: "If I tape the end, the end exists. If the end exists, it's over." The tape tears free and the paper keeps going. Kaito: "...The end moved." Rin, thumbing toward the back room: "there's like six more rolls in back, by the way." Kaito, appalled: "Why would you tell me that." Rin: "content."

이 챕터에 대해
3 A.M., rain on the dead-hours store. A customer buys a single rice ball and the register glitches, printing an endless blank receipt that will not stop feeding from the printer. Kaito, unable to tear off a receipt that is still printing — because a sale isn't finished until the paper stops — resolves to guard the register and wait it out, spiraling all night over the question of when a transaction, or anything, is ever truly complete. The paper keeps coming: it drapes the counter, pools into the aisles, and finally drifts through the whole store like indoor snow, each new surge landing on the identical dead-eyed beat of Kaito lifting the growing coil and muttering '...still going.' A ladder of night-shift regulars wade through it — the tracksuit regular, a tired salaryman — none able to complete a purchase of their own. Kaito tapes the end (it moves), interrogates the tracksuit regular about whether a receipt has ever done this (nobody can verify), and measures the ribbon down the aisle while Rin quietly livestreams the vigil. Rin has one flicker of near-sincerity — 'it's kind of pretty, like real snow' — before going back to her phone. Near dawn the printer finally stops; Kaito's relief inverts the running beat, sure the sale is at last complete — until Rin holds up the empty cardboard tube: it didn't finish, the roll just ran out. Then she reveals she swapped in two fresh rolls while he measured, so it would have ended hours ago; his whole vigil only kept her stream alive. The transaction was 120 yen; Rin's 'world's longest receipt' hits four hundred thousand viewers. Kaito gets nothing. Dawn light fills the cleared store exactly as the night began — and on the bare counter a fresh blank receipt is already chattering out of the register, Rin's phone already raised, already live.
