A gray-haired man in glasses helps a young man whose forearm is wrapped in a hairy limb. Gray-haired man: “Here. Allow me.” Young man: “Much appreciated Sir.” Miss Shaw watches as the gray-haired man stands with his hands raised. Miss Shaw: “Erasmus, I think he's trying to show you something.” Erasmus: “Miss Shaw, I think it is merely trying to resume hostilities. As I said, Bellandi was unusually determined.” A large hairy fist lies on the floor. Miss Shaw: “Unless that is how cardinals declare hostilities, I think he wants us to look down there.” SFX: “KNOCK KNOCK” Erasmus holds up a hairy limb. Young man: “Your Eminence, are you requesting a truce?” The young man and Erasmus stand in the chamber. Young man: “That seems fairly conclusive.” Erasmus: “I'm more concerned with how anything at all has reanimated down there...”
