HARUTO TAKAMORI.” Haruto Takamori: “AS YOU KNOW, THE WAR AGAINST THE OTHRYX HASN’T BEEN GOING TOO WELL FOR US.” Haruto Takamori: “SURE, WE’VE WON A FEW BATTLES HERE AND THERE, BUT THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THAT THE ENEMY CAN ATTACK US FREELY.” Haruto Takamori: “THEY ATTACK OUR FLEETS AND CITIES AND THEN RETREAT TO DEPTHS THAT WOULD CRUSH OUR SUBMARINES, LEAVING US IN A STRICTLY DEFENSIVE ROLE.” Haruto Takamori: “WELL, ALL OF THAT CHANGES TODAY!”

About this chapter

Humanity has rebuilt civilization beneath the oceans, but the depths are already claimed. When an underwater city is destroyed by the Othryx, an alien species that sees humans as a threat to its world, the United Underseas Nations deploys its most advanced warship: the Deep Sea Cruiser Ryujin. Its crew must confront a powerful enemy while uncovering whether this war is a fight for survival or a conflict that could still be stopped.
