Trending counts readers, and Rising shows who is growing
Trending now counts people instead of page loads, a new Rising list shows the series finding readers fastest, and new series made on Inkroost get their launch week on the home page.
What changed. The lists that help readers find something new now work the way you would expect.
- Trending counts people. Each reader counts once a day per series, however many times they reload a page. Reads from the last few days count most. Your own reads, and reads from the Inkroost team, never count.
- Rising this week. A new list on the home page and on Top Comics shows the series gaining readers fastest compared with their own last week. A small series that is starting to find people can show up here next to the big ones.
- One series per creator. Both lists show at most one series from each creator, so more people get seen.
- Featured picks. The Featured row and the top showcase on the home page now fill themselves every morning. Series made on Inkroost come first, and a series whose first chapter just went live gets a turn on the home page during its first week.
Why it matters. A trending list that counts page loads rewards whoever refreshes most. Counting readers rewards stories people actually come back to. And a new series is most likely to find its first readers in the week it goes live.
How to use it. There is nothing to switch on. Publish your chapters, share them, and keep going. A series needs at least three different readers in a week to appear on Trending or Rising.
