Belgian humour, a new European comic style
A new style draws in the tradition of the classic Belgian humour albums, with big-nosed characters, bouncy brush ink and bright flat colour. Pick it under European comic, or tell Inky you want it drawn like a Belgian humour comic.
What shipped. Belgian humour joins the European comic family next to Ligne claire and Painted album. It draws like the classic humour albums from Belgium and France: rounded, big-nosed characters with oversized hands and feet, a lively brush line that swells and thins, bright flat colours, and slapstick touches like sweat drops and motion lines. The picture above shows the same scene drawn as Ligne claire (left) and as Belgian humour (right).
Where to find it. The Belgian humour card sits with the other European comic cards under Series info, in the drawing door and in Pro Studio, with a sample page like every other style. Tell Inky you want it "drawn like a Belgian humour comic" and it picks this look without asking.
