PAGE 9 Merel gives herself a strict moment to recover, then stands with her notebook as she records that the terrain has shifted. VISIBLE TEXT: Ninety seconds. You get ninety seconds. Terrain has changed.
Descripción de la imagen
Merel sits in the moorland beside her surveying tripod with mountains behind her, overwhelmed at first, then visibly composes herself with her notebook open.
Acerca de este capítulo
Merel Vosberg measures a four-and-a-half-metre land dispute in a Dutch polder and sees the world refuse her instrument. The flat farmland becomes Orran, a vast mountain world where Adai, a blind route-singer, guides roads by listening rather than measuring. Merel tests notebooks, paces, cairns, and road mood before reaching Ninefold, where impossible geography suddenly becomes exact.
