Panel 1: Mr. Bennet delivers it flatly, picking his tablet back up as if nothing has happened. Mr. Bennet: "Seeing as we're already acquainted." Panel 2: A large wide shot — the entire room freezing, every head snapping toward Mr. Bennet at once, all five daughters startled mid-motion. Panel 3: Close on Mrs. Bennet, eyes going huge, the penny dropping hard. Mrs. Bennet: "You... WENT?!" Panel 4: Mr. Bennet, supremely satisfied, not looking up from the tablet. The most content man alive. Mr. Bennet: "This morning." Panel 5: Wide shot of the room exploding into joyful motion — Mrs. Bennet leaping up, the younger girls shrieking and grabbing each other. Panel 6: Lizzie laughing, arms crossed, delighted that she was right about him all along. Lizzie: "He just wanted to watch us suffer first."

Acerca de este capítulo
Mr. Bennet has secretly already gone and met Bingley — but he says nothing, letting the whole family stew in their frustration that he refuses to make the introduction. He drops sly hints nobody catches, the household's exasperation climbs, and then he springs the reveal: he went that morning, and they are already acquainted. The room detonates from fury into joy. Mrs. Bennet whiplashes from outrage to delight, the younger girls erupt, Mary tries to say something profound and is ignored, and beneath the chaos Lizzie and Jane share the quiet bond that anchors the family.
