Caption: ELSEWHERE... VEX'S SHIP Vex: You knew the archive was there? Ace: I knew it existed. Opening it was another matter. Ace: The archive needed a Bearer. Screen: REMOTE CONNECTION TERMINATED Max: Whoever was watching disconnected. Vex: Vex. Ace: He didn't retreat because I stopped him. He wanted me down here. Max: Looks that way. Ace: Then let's find out what he wanted me to see. Max: Already on it. Screen: BEARER PROTOCOL POWER LEVEL: CURRENT ENERGY ACCESS DORMANT: POWER PRESENT / ACCESS RESTRICTED AWAKENED: [DATA CORRUPTED] Ace: Okay... now this makes sense. Screen: POWER LEVEL ANALYSIS OLD READOUT (RESONANCE) 139% CORRECT TERM (POWER LEVEL) 139% Max: My scanner treated your old baseline as 100%. That's why you hit 139. You weren't using 139% of your total power. You were producing 139% of what I thought your maximum was. Ace: Talk normal, Max. Ace: So you don't know my maximum. Max: Neither does this thing. Ace: And dormant? Max: Your power is active. You just can't fully access it yet. Ace: Yet. Max: This city, it was built by Bearers. Ace: Which means there were others before you. Max: And it looks like they protected a lot more than just Mane City. Max: The records show a cycle. Max: Every time a major threat rose, the Bearers united to protect Mane City — and beyond. Max: But the last Alliance disappeared. Ace: So this isn't just about me or Vex. Ace: This is bigger than Mane City. Ace: We rebuild this city... Ace: ...and get ready for what's next. Visible signs: MANE CITY STRONGER; SAME CITY. BIGGER MISSION.

About this chapter
In the aftermath of the Dark Lions’ attack, Ace refuses to let Vex’s cryptic warning go unanswered. With Max at his side, their search leads beneath Mane City to a forgotten archive connected to the mysterious Lion Token—and to Ace himself. There, they discover that the strange energy surrounding Ace is actually a dormant Power Level tied to an ancient role known as a Bearer. As Max begins helping Ace understand and control his growing abilities, the two return to help the people rebuild their damaged home. But far beyond Mane City, Ace’s awakening has triggered something ancient. The battle may be over, but something much bigger has just begun.
