Page 11. A dynamic action panel. Momo has lunged and flung herself flat against the pastel wall, both tiny hands and her magnifying glass pressed to it, coat streaming behind her like a cape, eyes blazing with triumph as she tackles the spot where the shadow was — but the wall is bare, only a faint edge of the shadow left at the corner. MOMO: 'Caught you, fiend!'

The chibi girl in the yellow coat lunges through the air and flings herself flat against the bare pastel wall, magnifying glass pressed to it, coat streaming behind her, eyes blazing with triumph. Only a faint edge of shadow remains. The white cat watches from the boxes.

About this chapter

A huge horned shadow looms across the clubroom wall in the low afternoon sun, and Momo is certain a beast has broken into the Tiny Case Agency. She stalks the monster as it grows larger and larger, corners it, and pounces at the wall — only to find it bare. The "intruder" was Biscuit the whole time, sitting up in the sunbeam on the boxes with her ears throwing the horns. Ganta says so on page five. Momo declares she drove the beast off, closes the case, and falls asleep.
