Page 12. A single panel, close on Momo. Refusing to admit she was ever wrong, she lifts her chin with wounded dignity and hugs her magnifying glass to her chest, as if this was the plan all along. On the desk behind her sits the lone pudding cup and its spoon. MOMO: 'Case closed.'

A chibi girl in a yellow coat kneels with her chin lifted stubbornly, hugging her magnifying glass, pretending she meant to solve it that way, with a single pudding cup and spoon on the desk behind her.
About this chapter
A pudding cup nobody bought appears on the clubroom desk — and the next afternoon another one is back. Momo is certain a rival detective is leaving calling cards and follows a trail of tiny pudding drips across the floorboards to crack the case. The trail leads to Ganta, who gets a free pudding with lunch every day and hates pudding. Unable to admit she was wrong, Momo declares the case closed, eats the evidence, and falls asleep.
