Panel 1: The same warm Bennet kitchen and the same wooden table as the chapter's first page, same angle, morning light through the window over the sink. JANE BENNET sits absolutely radiant with both hands around her mug. Opposite her LIZZIE BENNET sits with one hand flat on the tabletop, smiling at her sister and meaning every bit of it. JANE: 'I'm the happiest person alive.' LIZZIE: 'You're the only one who deserves to be.' Panel 2: Tight close-up of LIZZIE in the warm light, chin propped on one hand, her smile softening into something quietly wistful as she looks off to the side. On the table in front of her, beside the blue-patterned teapot, her phone lies face-down and silent — only its plain dark back showing. LIZZIE (thought): 'Mine's still open.'
