Page 10. Two stacked panels, read top to bottom. Top panel: the trail of pudding drips ends right at Ganta's white sneakers on the cardboard boxes. He looks down flatly and gestures back toward the desk, finally explaining. GANTA: 'They give me one at lunch.' Bottom panel: Ganta goes back to sipping his pale-blue juice box, completely unbothered, the pudding cup sitting on the desk beside him. GANTA: 'I hate pudding.'

About this chapter
A pudding cup nobody bought appears on the clubroom desk — and the next afternoon another one is back. Momo is certain a rival detective is leaving calling cards and follows a trail of tiny pudding drips across the floorboards to crack the case. The trail leads to Ganta, who gets a free pudding with lunch every day and hates pudding. Unable to admit she was wrong, Momo declares the case closed, eats the evidence, and falls asleep.
